Specialist events for growing companies or specific industry groups such as the UKTI TR&DE Programme for international R&D trading, Investor Readiness programmes for companies looking to fundraise or float, Intellectual Property issues and advice on patenting and trade-marking. Manchester Motion events on accessing R&D funding and tax credits, designing effective products, social media. Events with innovation support providers both themed and general events that help to provide support to new and growing businesses - events with business support providers and associates on a regular basis on key business topics e.g. Environmental and Cleantech network developments.

Bespoke or invite only events that aim to raise aspirations and performance of tenant companies – UMIC has a track record of organising these for its tenant portfolio – peer to peer mentoring for specific companies, risk and business continuity master classes, exposure to private fund raisers for testing company plans, consultations on specific economic development issues etc. UMIC encourage a drop in or surgery system, where support providers and associates are given space to conduct one to ones. UMIC have UKTI, Business Link and a range of associates providing pro bono work in our incubators. Profile raising, Fact-finding and VIP tours – promoting activities to raise government, stakeholder, funders and foreign dignitaries awareness of UMIC facilities and its tenant community.
